Okay, I'm going to have to go with this thread being on the fail end of the meter.
Just like others stated, the guy had illegal parts on his car and got pulled over. The cops gave him a hard time to make sure that he would do something about those illegal parts instead of having to give him a ticket. They did him a favor and yet people are crying about race here? Why? As for the Jesus Vargas bit, IDK how it is where you live.. But here in Tx if someone gets pulled over in a friends car that car is listed on the ticket and therefor linked to the friend. That being said, one of the previous owners could've borrowed the car once and got a ticket in it, which would link him to the car. Then again, they could've been looking for someone named Jesus Vargas that fit your description and just lied about him being linked to your car just to pull you over and see if you were him. Either way it sounds like they were just doing their job and you shouldn't dwell on it. Here's a news flash for some people - cops are HUMAN! They aren't out to get anyone, they're just out to do their job. Not only do they have to put their lives on the line every single day, but they also have to do it knowing that snotty kids don't appreciate being let off without a ticket just because it happen to be a white cop that pulled them over. They go out there and bust their asses just to be disrespected everywhere they go just because they chose a specific profession that they happen to enjoy because every once in a blue moon someone thanks them and makes them forget about that snotty kid.

thanks you...go do your job they will do theres, they are there to enforce the law..and in california it is illegal to mod your car in such a fashion, that it pollutes (breather let gases into the atmosphere, or headers without a cat). people rag on cops, where would you be without cops? currently i am studying for the academy, and we are talking about this stuff right now, there is a fine line between chaos and control, who do you think HELPS keep that line there??? people really need to stop bitching about cops... if you dont wanna be pulled over dont modify your car in such a fashion that attracts attention or actually breaks the law( intake headers exhaust) Cali is a nazi states, cant deal with it leave... |

it just seems like the cops wanted to show off what they had learned..
The cop and his friend cop probably just got out of class and were on the radio talking about how they should show off their knowledge of vehicle modification to a "ricer." The cops probably went to the class in the first place because someone offended them by being brave enough to tell the cops that they and all other cops are ignorant pigs when it comes to understanding what is legal and shouldn't be just writing people tickets when drivers haven't done anything illegal (i.e. cops think Si stock exhaust is aftermarket and etc.) |

I have faced circumstances with cops that are F****** ignorant.. they wrote me up for being with my girlfriend in my car.. at night.. in a parking lot.. TALKING! I should have just asked for their badge numbers and have them piss off... other than that.. cops have been of great help.. they probably saved someone's life by pulling me over.. I was a dumb kid.. speeding 70 in 35 residential.. I was pissed off when I was pulled over at first.. but if I hadn't been pulled over, I may have killed a lady walking her dog or something.. much worse of a penalty.. Cops are here for a reason.. hate them sometimes.. but appreciate them for being there.. |

You are a little off, it isnt 88% tint, it is 88% luminous transmittance. Stock windows have around 93% luminous transmittance. So essentially you could have 95% tint added to your side and front windows to total 88% luminous transmittance.
This thread has direct quotes from the California Vehicle Code regarding tint. Yeah, Another one.
