with biological sciences.. u gotta take specific courses, while biology on the other hand as long as u take enough upper div. bio courses then you're good to go. UCR has the haider program.. basically its for people who want to do medicine..go to ucr for 2 years then ucla for the rest to get ur MD degree.

I heard that eventually, you won't even go to UCLA because UCR is building their own medical school apparently. Therefore, you're stuck at UCR for the 7 years and won't transfer to UCLA for your MD. I'm not sure if that's actually true or if it is, when it's going into effect however.
