We race every saturday night when the weather is good... I hate having to restart a race cause i couldnt get into second.

Maybe i need a new OEM one wonder if i can use the one off the Euro type R and if its any diff. I only has 40k miles on my car

Out of the 6 passes i made at the drag strip when we went last year 4 of the times i couldn't get into second

Ya if i shift like at 7k RPM its smooth and easy but when i shift at redline it locks me out... It has seemed to get better after i installed the buddy club SS and the extender but havent gone to the drag strip yet to test it out

Previous owner said the recall was done and they put a fresh clutch in it

Im not a mechanic so I dont know waht else to recommend besides "take it to a mechanic"

Specially one that is good at working on JDM cars.

I meant to say maybe the clutch pedal is not adjusted properly.

You haz the shifter bushings and all?

I would think it would do that for all the gears when shifting at redline but it only does it when going from first to second... trying to get it figured out before the race season

Ya i have the twm bushings and the solid base bushings... It never grinds just feels like there is a wall blocking it till the the RPMs go down the it goes right in

Maybe your tranny has that 2nd gear issue
