Good enough to win. I think what the 9ers ask of Smith is all he's capable of as a quarterback. He finally has a defense and supporting players good enough, so that he doesn't need to win games by himself.

However, I think if you put Phillip Rivers on the 9ers and have him play a similar role to Alex's, Rivers does better.

I dont know... Just the way Rivers played the last season and this season was just a complete 180... He looks like a qb that belongs to the browns...

We need to beef up our O line. Rivers blind side especially. He has gotten hit too many times or rushed too many times. And that's were mistakes are made. I'm not too proud to say we've been in a slump that past 2 1/2 years. We do need to rebuild but not the whole team. Defense does their job. Offense is what's needs help. As well as the management side of the team.

It's the line. They don't give him time. He feels rushed because he knows the o line is not keeping him safe.

Chargers had there chance when they were 14-2 under Norv... I keep thinking what the Chargers would be like with Brees and Norv instead of Rivers...

Hopefully the Spanos wakes up on the right side of the bed and realize that nothing will happen to their organization if they keep AJ Smith... Just look at all the talents they have let go in the past...
