it depends on what ballast you have ??? if its slimline denso you mount underneath the headlight itself or on the body behind the headlight pocket. caveman74 / izzy is who mounted it this way. if you have hella gen 3 you might be able to mount in the same fashion or underneath the headlight on the body/frame support rails...sickyute is who mounted it this way. if you have matushita gen 2 they should be able mount like denso slimline...do a search for either of the members and you'll see some pics...I'm doing a retro on my headlights and am i going to mount them on the body somehow prolly like caveman's way...now i have to get to the task of making my custom wiring harness first though:) hopes this helps you out a little...

You can mount the ballast right above where the air bag sensor is behind the headlights. The is a small perch with a whole already there. I placed mine there with the ballast holders that came with my kit.

I just used double sided tape, and then adhesive foam tape to reduce vibration to the ballasts. I mounted the passenger side ballast right under/behind the high beam socket, theres a flat metal part of the chassis. the driverside ballast i mounted vertically right in front of the battery, to the right of the coolant resevoir. laTEs.
