California Speedway

September 24th (sunday) california speedway is opening up its gates for drags. anyone interested. I usually go to every drag event they have, last time i was there i think most people got 8 or 9 runs. gates open at 7, racing starts at 9 til 4 or 5 i believe. I know i'll be there... what about you?

Is this track in the LA area? Sounds familiar I used to live in LA, now I'm in the Bay Area.

Looks like I won't be making this one, plus the traffic going down there would be horrendous for me...

eh i can gaurantee this track is better than LACR and times are more realistic, traffics not bad in the mornings, maybe going home would be a lil pain but its worth it... haha

Worst thing about living in Ventura County is there is no track nearby! I've been down that way before (Riverside County) and I have never seen traffic so bad...I think it was the 91 that was like dead stop no matter when you go and of course, as I don't need it here, I have no Fastrack:rolleyes:

im down! i have buddies from high school wanting to go to the dragstrip really badly. ive known these two guys since jr high... one of them drives a old nova in sexy hawt (ghetto fab blue with two black stripes) and my other friend built a 62 bug with a 2276cc motor in it... the bug is a sleeper (roof rack with cooler on top) and is amazing.

I've got two friends with WRX's coming and this dude with a sick custom Chevy 2500HD crew cab with aftermarket rear mount (rear as in by the axle)turbo and front mount intercooler. It supposedly runs in the 12's on street tires.

i got of group of 7 of us looking to go. we looking more autocross though. whast the deal at the fontana speedyway though? just drag? 20 bucks all day?...etc...

yeah its mainly drags they use to have drags saturdays and auto x on sundays but i guess people lost interest in the auto x, so they got rid of it. its 20 bucks from i belive 10 - 4 ....

They also have it by groups, so if you all wanna roll in together we could possibly all be in the same group and run each other or whatever... you can also grudge with people from other groups, you just won't get the chance to run when your/their group is up to run

a lil disappointed in my times, but practice makes perfect. best of the day was 15.5... there was another guy who ran a 15.0 stock
