i think theres a way to transfer the tpms sensor from the stock rims to the new ones...unless you already tried that or something

Not sure exactly. From my friend that works at MB San Diego.

Its actually the generic SL the SLR is being replaced by the Gullwing. The Gullwing will launch in 2012. If you google the Mercedes Gullwing you will see images of it..it’s really sweet and our fastest car. We used to make the Gullwing then stopped for numerous years. Now theres a new design so they’re bringing it back. Numerous cars are launching this year…the CLK will have a face lift, the headlights will look similar to the C300, the E-Class will be new design too, looks like the upcoming CLK, the CL is going convertible, the S550’s are undergoing a new design too..images are online as well but the back of the car hasn’t truly been defined yet. Hehe stay tuned! We’re going to have a bunch of launch parties are my store where we have it catered etc. I’ll let u guys know so u can attend and see the new cars.

Yeah you can transfer the TPMS from one wheel to the other but the other wheels need to be TPMS compatible. Thats why I had a hard time finding rims for my car cause I was doing research about it. I originally wanted the 5zigen FN01R-C but I called 5zigen and ask if its TPMS compatible and they said its not. The only TPMS compatible so far for 5zigen is the SC3000. Although I am not 100% on Rotas if they are TPMS compatible.
