man, i still need to wash my car and get all the bugs and crap off my car. a 6.5hr drive back up to the Bay will do that to your car.

**note to self: buy a nose bra for car to use on long road trips**

Hahaha! I have to clean my car too. I'll do it after I install my intake. When ever I get it. I was looking at the engine bay this morning and trying to see what I need to remove to install the SR. Looks like there's about 3 bolts from what I see and those are the ones that connects the bottom part of the air box to the chassis/engine.

here's an idea for a possible meet:

how many SD folks would be interested in going to Miramar Speed Circuit (kart place) and if we have enough people that are interested in going we could actually have our very own Grand Prix. After that's all done we can maybe go for a drive up to Sunrise Highway that was mentioned earlier by someone.

Here's a link to the site with pricing:
Miramar Speed Circuit - hosting San Diego's best arrive and drive go kart racing, corporate events, team building, birthday parties, and more.

those are the bolts you need to remove...your pretty much done after that.
you would take off the MAF sensor and put it back onto your SRI, reconnect hoses and that's it.

This one looks cool. Yeah we can plan this one weekend and then do that Sunrise Highway thing.

So the MAF sensor, do I unplug the whole thing from the tube or do I have to remove the wire connector first???

Thinking of buying tools this after noon, Craftsman or go cheap and get stanley? What size do I need for the bolts? Thanks.

Im down for the cart thing and sunrise. I was the one that mentioned sunrise and i loved it. almost hit a few deer on the way back down. It was getting dark. I saw a bobcat, and some big birds in the middle of the road. I also went up the mesa grande that was fun.

there's two hex bolts that bolt the sensor onto the stock intake. unplug it first and then remove it and reattach it over to your new SRI. I think the bolts were 10mm.

buy the Craftsman because they have a lifetime warranty on their tools. I knew a mechanic that had his tools damaged from something can't remember if it was a fire or what but he got a whole new set from them. So at least you'll get the peace of mind if anything happens to the tools, you'll get a replacement. If you're going to Sears, get the mechanics tool set. They have a variety of sets. You can get one with a ton of sockets and extensions or you can get a small set with just some basic sockets and a couple of extensions.
