ummmm........yes....? inside the MAF you mean? there are the 2 vanes......supposedly you file those down....i did. i want to try it both ways and have a stock dyno done, along with a non-filed vane maf, and the one i have again......

yeah we can.....why not. people will buy just the modified MAF.....cause they have no skills or tools.....the rest is putting it together and buying the rest of the parts.

i am afraid of filing down the vanes, i there a certain way to file them down? i really dont wanna look and the 40 pg long thread about the x intake. i can knock this out tonight before i play cod 4

you really can't mess it up too bad......i'd bet it won't make a big difference.....

when you get the coupler it comes with an adapter piece to make it either 3" to 3" or with the insert it can be 2.5" to 3".....you take this little insert thing and shove it in the back end, the end opposite of the filing.....and push it in until it stops up against the vanes.......the you take you file and rest it against the vane and this rubber insert and start filing it down side to side......it gives the right angle and can't be messed up much....
