BART parking

Hey everyone,

I have recently changed jobs and have to work at downtown Oakland. The most convenient and cheapest way for me to get to work would be to go through BART. I'm wondering how safe do you think it is to park there? I would either park at the Castro Valley or Bay Fair BART stations. I have had my Si for a year with no dents, door dings, scratches or keying. My car is pretty much stock so its not very flashy. I'm worried about door dings, haters, or possibly getting my car stolen. What do you guys think? Is there any Si drivers that leave their cars at the BART parking stations?

Any advice or suggestions is welcomed. Thanks.

I park my FA5 at daly city bart. I think parking for this bart station is pretty safe as long as you don't leave valuables inside......

Thanks for the info.

Any excessive door dings or scratches for parking at the Daly City Bart?

I had ridden BART for 2 years from Dublin/Pleasanton. I left my 04 Legend's engine on for like 8 hours because I had to run to catch the train. The car was warm when I got back from work. haha
IMO, I prefer the Castro Valley over the Bay Fair station.

You really should secure you valuables in the trunk and use the interior trunk lock - my boss just had his laptop stolen by someone who watched him put it in the trunk - ie. he was gone for 5 min. and someone went straigt for the laptop that he just put in the trunk, nothing else - they were watching him!

Cops said he should have secured it in the trunk before leaving, not when he got there.

It wasn't at bart, but same goes for any parking lot and bart is pretty notorious..
