huuuuhhh.... oohhh you're right. Hehehehehe oops... I was looking at the k20a2 the whole time. The "a2" got me mixed up lol. I sit corrected. But I know for a fact that the internals are beefier than the rest. Alot of people get the CRV blocks if they're gonna build them. They basically just get them for the bore size, since they replace the pistons with foged low compressions usually. I'm leaving the internals stock so I'll want the TSX. Man, that guy still hasn't contacted me. I'm pretty leaned over to the frankenstien side but this guy lagging is pushing me back to just ordering a new block =/.

I'm actually trying to get it together and running ASAP since it's my daily driver. Then after getting a fuel pump and seeing making a CAI with a MAF jb welded into it hehe I'll get the nitrous in there. I wanna have everything ready for the dyno day.

BTW... before it blew, the first pull open header on nitrous sounds ridiculously nuts =).

Man sry to hear about your car..

I have a few questions, correct me if i'm wrong but I was under the immpression that upgrading the fuel pump would not help very much since we can't control the fuel pressure without a return fuel line??? also what a/f is best when running nitrous?? last question, in this thread you talked about a fuel pressure safty switch, i'm not to sure what that is or where I can find one but can you send me in the right direction so I can get one Thanks

You're not wrong, just a bit confused. A fuel pump can only flow so much because it maxes itself out at a certain point. There is an in-tank regulator but once it lets the fuel pump push out it's max, it's all on the fuel pump from there to keep up the constant pressure of the volume coming out. Aftermarket fuel pumps flow alot more LPH(liters per hour) than a stock pump can.

With you run a wet nitrous system, the fuel supply for the fuel solenoid T's into the fuel line. So just think of the fuel solenoid as an "incredible hulk" version of an injector along with whatever fuel jet size you're running. When that solenoid opens up it's gonna try to drop pressure in the system right? So if the stock pump can't keep up with keeping a constant pressure because the it's maxed out. If at any point it fails and the pressure drops you run lean which is not good when you have a large shot of dry nitrous spraying into your motor which just makes you run even more lean. Then... BOOM!
Getting an aftermarket fuel pump would help prevent that problem by keeping a good constant flow.

For a/f I really don't know what number would be best for optimum performance and reliability. John at prostreet motorsports told me around 11.5:1 is what we want but I know there's people on here that run a bit more on the lean side and are doing fine.

A fuel pressure safety switch cuts off power to the nitrous solenoid when fuel pressure drops below a certain level. Basically saving you from running lean.

Here's a few places that I'd recommend if you don't know any local shops.

Search Results - Electrical Nitrous oxide Parts, Switches, relays and components
Nitrous Outlet Product Catalog - Fuel Delivery - Fuel Pressure Safety Switches

..........update........

I've decided to go frankenstien. I bought a complete TSX long block from a guy on K20A.org .:. The K Series Source . Honda / Acura K20a k24a Engine Forum and am waiting for it to be shipped over. I'll update with pics and maybe start a DIY thread on doing the whole conversion. With plenty of referral and gratitude from Jnaut of course.

Haha yeah I know exactly what you mean. Sk33ny is offering to take documentation pics and I'll most likely be taking some myself. It's alot of work to do a DIY so I'm still debating with myself if I should make one. When I make DIY's I make them very detailed lol. I'll probably have a video if I hit something hard or tricky. So we'll see.
