Two FG2 Si's as undercover cops?

When I was getting ripped off at the local Wheel Works in Oakland, one of the managers said a cop car comes by for servicing. One is a NBP 07 Si w/ smoked out headlights. It purportedly has the flashing blue and red lights hidden behind the grill The other one is TW. Supposedly it roams around the 980 and 580 looking for people street racing.

I dunno if I believe the guy's story, but I'm curious as to what the cars look like. Anybody heard something similar?

damn man that sux, down here in miami there are Mustang Gt's, Volvo S40, Jeep Cherookee, Nissan altimas & maximas, chargers...You name it we got it lol...but damn a Honda Civic thats an all time low damn cops!

wow, ive never heard of any cops cars like those, around here its nothing but crown vic's and the occasional charger. If I saw a civic with cop lights I'd probably think it was some asshole kid f*ckin around

I think Civic Si would be a poor car to chase after other cars.

I dunnoe about that... having lights on the car makes it's a fleet vehicle of the state or government or whatever and I don't see our government wanting to have anything to do with our imports. They stick with the american cars. But I say I don't know because there is some weird/funny crap out there that for some reason is actually true.

Yes fleet or govt come from Big 3, but I think undercover cars don't necessarily follow that rule.

i would become a cop....nice pension for a start.

pay that guy some money that services the cars and make him drain the trans fluid a little so they get that extra special touch of bad 3rd gear and stay away from our fun little automobiles... :)

in edison nj, they have a 97 m3 coupe as a DARE car with light and everything, story goes that some 20 something year old drug dealer got busted and his car was seized...now cops drive it!!!!!!!! hahaha

This would really be fun to see the bastard keep up with me. Cops are a joke to me. I'll make sure I look for this SI. Want to see what this guy got.

Have no idea what's under the hood, but it does have some kinda aftermarket wheels. Who knows, he might've been lurking at that Oakland drag race bust.

here in LA we got Chargers And i seen cops in uniform in a TC Slamd With Black rims and Exhaust but idk about a Civic i also seen a Nissan 240 with silvia front end conversion with Works XD9 looks like a drift car but i acutly seen them pull a Car over that was speading on the Freeway probably 100+ and trying to run me lol

lots of areas with high levels of street racing will take some cars they confiscate and use them as bait to get more people

i'm surprised u everyone is hearing about this now. i'm not at all surprised that cops r using imports as under cover cop cars. i wouldn't be surprised if they've been doin this for a while. i'm almost certain that they have the under cover imports roaming the streets and going to races. hell i'd go as far as not bein surprised if i got pulled over. i even know a cop that drives a FBP FG2 that patrols in a regular squad car in my neighborhood, even told him about the forum. the only thing that would really surprise me is if one of these under cover cars shows up at one of our meets. if that ever happens i'd really be like "WTF!?!?!?". and considering that i'm tryin to be a cop, that's not gonna surprise me n e more soon enough.

my thoughts on cops using civics as undercover cars is that it's a sound idea. i mean if u think about it civics r among the most commonly used car by most tuners n racers. weather they've been racing for years or as a starting vehicle. they r among the most widely sold n easily upgradable car. c'mon no one here can tell me that they can't find a part for n e honda civic from the years 86 to present. in the import n tuner world the civic is a very low profile car. seriously i know that most of us have rolled by a tuned up civic n said to ourselves "nothing special i've seen that before". ppl rn't stupid i'm sure they pic certain cars for reasons. that's my just my thoughts on this subject.
