Plan : Have some fun & eat at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, then cruise.

I propose Santa Cruz. It should be fun... since summer is coming up! Boardwalk, beach, bbq, that windy freeway toward SC.

I second that the meet ought to be held in Santa Cruz.

We've hit up North, East, and West, so now would be a good time to take it down to coast down south.

I take frequent trips to Santa Cruz (which accounts for my having racked up over 23,000 miles in half a year of owning my car!), and I'm familiar with basically all the routes to get there.

One thing I would recommend would be to carefully plan our way through Santa Cruz, if we go there. Santa Cruz has some AWFULLY congested streets, and their streets are rarely wider than two lanes on each side. Not to mention that heading down by the Boardwalk, in the middle of summer, will prove to be difficult alone, especially with 20+ cars.

Still, with careful planning, it could work beautifully. If we decide on this place, I'll head down there to scout ahead beforehand, in which case maybe some folks would like to tag along with me.

I dont mind santa cruz, especially on a saturday morning..lets have a fat convoy over there where we can have meet up spots around the bay and ultimately meet up somewhere in san jo to cruise over there...

i think monterey would be good.... i'm not a civic but monterey has a lot of nice areas although the road there isn't as fun as SC.

Would give it plenty of time to make our arrangements at home and work, and scout ahead both roads and city sights.

Plus, it conveniently falls two months from now.
