Polishing my intake manifold

********UPDATE********

i finished putting a shine to my manifold. i used neverdull polishing to kind of give it a buff. then wiped off the oils witha dry cloth.

but i need your opinions too. do i leave the manifold cover on?
or leave it off?

pics:

OFF?

ON??

so yesterday i started polishing my manifold because i love the way it looks . but right now i stopped sanding because im hands hurt. so it still has little craters in it. i really need to put more pressure on thoses, but it looks better than stock so far. i drive my car like everyday non-stop so its kinda impossible for me to take the hole manifold off si im only sanding what u can see.

Looks good, I've been meaning to do this too, but my hands still hurt from sanding the stock air box. (poor man's intake)

do you have a dremmel or something like that??? im sure that would speed up the process.

are you doing the whole mani or just the part that is seen after the mani cover?

Looks good so far. A polished manifold definitely has some bling to it. It you could run a polisher over it, I think you could make short work of it.

they have those little drums sander attachment. Could work with that. Dremmel also has a polishing tip also.

Looking good. This is no easy task. Looks like you need a few more days off and then pow, super bling bling. Keep it up.
Oh I say cover on, keep the hard work to a minimum.

Not trying to hate, I assume you didn't take the manifold off? Whne I did mine I sanded it right down so it was smooth and cut the alum between the runners off. Check it :)

If you grab a fine grid and water sand it then polish it you will notice a bit of a differnce aswell, looks better then I thought with the cover. I cut my tabs right off for a smooth finish. good job
