You will use the stock Si gasket that is on the cylinder head. You should definitely get a Vibrant stainless steel gasket -2.5" between the header flange and cat-back. You should also get some stainless steel bolts. You can get this stuff at SCTuned, as they carry all the Vibrant stuff. You should be good to go then.

I seriously doubt you will find a stainless steel header gasket at an auto parts store. I know. I looked and could only find the paper kind. They are only $3.00 at SCTuned.

The S2 comes with 3 bolts use them to connect the header to the exhaust. You could get a Mr. Gasket 2 1/2" gasket(I believe they are stainless steel) from them to go between the header and the exhaust. I think you can get Mr. Gasket from Advanced Auto (not autozone). Besides that just make sure you can get the bolts started with your figures so you dont strip or cross thread any of them (Like I did ).

I temporarily used black header gaskets from autozone, because I'm not finished with my exhaust. I currently have the stock midpipe, which will be replaced very shortly...At that time, I will install stainless gaskets.

i am stuck between this and the strup header. the strup is alot cheaper but without the cat, it smells bad. my friend runs without a cat and the smell is annoying.

does anyone know what kind of gains i will get with the vibrant w/HFC?

Import Tuner only got a 5.4 hp increase from their Vibrant RH w/hfc. Some people have said they got a 20 hp increase. I would say that the gains are 7-10 hp more over stock.

My car definitely pulled harder after the header install, no doubt about it. Like everything on the K20Z3 motor, the gains are relatively small until one goes forced induction.

Cumulatively, with a RH, cat-back, intake and Hondata, the gains are maximized. Alone, one mod will make only a tiny difference in performance. The only thing that saddens me is the ridiculous amount of money that needs to be spent to get 15-20 hp more.

yeah, the gains that most American cars get from simple bolt ons are crazy and we hardly get anything

I run mine hard at times and.... guess what......... NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT!!!!!!!!! I've had mine on for 2 months now... You will get CEL with the non-cat header. You need a defouler (the weaponR L shaped one) for that one.... I think the one your getting with the HFC is the best one...
