Bolt-on Modding post-reflash

This is kind of a noobie question but I've read probably a dozen threads about reflashing and havent seen this addressed. Maybe its obvious or something I dont know... but If I reflash with just an aftermarket intake and then add headers or exhaust later will I need to reflash it again or will the car recognize the new parts and work fine. What are the advantages/disadvantages to doing all the bolt-ons before having the reflash done?

I want to get the reflash done, but wanted to hold off on headers. Im trying to avoid an aftermarket exhaust so my situation would look like... Cold air intake + reflash... then later headers (maybe). My other mods will include things like ETD/pulleys/gaskets.

So does the order matteR?

I have read that a reflash with just an intake will actually reduce performance.

To your other question: The ecu will "relearn" when you install new aftermarket parts and you will not need to re-reflash.

The reflash is the same no matter what you have on your car. As Jake mentioned, the ECU will "relearn" everything it needs to know once you install your new parts.

I'd get the reflash after headers, personally. The more complete bolt on package you have the better the Hondata tune will perform.

BTW, I have pretty much all of the bolt on parts besides an intake (I'm not getting one at this point until someone can design a reliable system that doesn't mess up the MAF values and actually increases performance over the stock setup without reducing performance down low) and am getting the reflash next week. I wanted to do a before and after dyno since I've never dyno'ed a car before and I wanted to give my car a chance to break in and get through the first oil change before hand.

I've got an I/H/E/Pulley/Stage2 Clutch/flywheel and I'm going to dyno hopefully in 2 weeks in Atl, GA and then reflash the first week of june and re-dyno again. I wanna see how the ecu does...

It doesnt matter what you put first. If you added the bolt-on later, you just need to reset you hondata ecu. Personally, I got the hondata first with the cai. It was fun but I want more power so I added the header. It was a big different with the header on, but if you use the stock exhaust, it will eventually mess up. FYI

If you want to just get the reflash then just get it. It's alright with a CAI. Like what others said, when you get your headers, just reset your ecu. It's not that hard.
