Fujita SRI and skunk2 70mm

Hey, im new to this site but have been using it for info for a while. I have a 08 NHBP fg2. I have done some searching for my first mods and decided to go with fujita SRI and skunk2 70mm. (and skunk2 shift knob) I have tried searching forums to see if anyone has same combo or anything but didn't find anything. So any one here have this same combo? Or anyones opinions on either would be much appreciated! Or if you would recommend different I/E. Sorry if this is repost.

All you really need to know is it's going to be loud. If that's what you want, you made a good choice lol

no installs for me...the only thing that rattle is/are the hooks on the tip of the exhaust (unless skunk2 fixed that) and the change in my little "change holder"

Yeah so one of the things i have never installed is a intake... Is it difficult? I was planning on it being a pretty simple install... So why use stock plumbing?

Ha reminds me of a time a friend forgot to let his engine cool down before adding coolent!

No it seems fairly easy actually. I just recommend keeping the stock tubing since it'll be easier to go back to stock later on

I have the FA5 NHBP 07 Si and have the same exact combo you have, except I have the JDM FD2 shift knob and boot. The combo is amazing, sounds great (has a silencer if it gets too loud for ya), and produces power hands down. I had mine dyno'd and I gained 20whp with those two mods (170 stock run; 190.4 after mods installed same day, same dyno).

You won't be disappointed bro. And yes, the Fujita SRI, in my opinion, is the best on the market. People make homemade stuff all the time, but if you want a great product out of the box for $200, the F5 cannot be beat. PM me if you have questions.

i have a k&n with a skunk and love the combo. the exhaust is def loud and it is deep. i had to cut about 1/4 of an inch off the end of the hanger(closest to the canister) to make sure it did not rattle.

Yeah, peak. My car dyno'd at 170 stock, though, where I've seen other stock Sis dyno at 174 max. So that's a 16whp gain if you go by that one. The shop I go to is a performance shop and we made 9 pulls of my car - 19-20whp consistently over stock, 20 being the highest peak run (actually closer to 21 because my stock was like 169.76 and the highest peak was 190.16 or something like that). Hey, I don't go by dynos when it comes to driving the car, but it's nice to see the mods working so well on the car. I want to re-dyno the car with the reflash and the TBS/Gs installed - I haven't done that yet. I'm hoping to push 195whp with it. The header would make the biggest difference at this point, but it's 'spensive.

I don't have the Skunk 2 exhaust (have Vibrant) but I do have a Fujita SRI. I have to say that I have been pretty happy with it. Sometimes it makes a tingy whistling sound at part throttle that I'm not thrilled with, but whatever. I'm not too great at all with working on cars but the install was super easy, you don't really need the crappy instructions it comes with. Just take the old stuff out ant put the new in. Good luck and enjoy!

wow, BTRobertson, thats pretty good with just those 2 mods. what are you running now??

anyway...back to topic...

i don't have an f5 or even an si for that matter, but from all that i've read on this site about that combo has been positive! so i think you're making the good choice.
