Another SRI vs. CAI thread
Hey guys,
I'm going to get a "real" intake here pretty soon. I'm runnin the K&N drop in, and removed resonator for now. I was thinking I was going to go with the CAI simply because it makes more power. But then I realized that it will only be up top... I would like to have a small gain in low, mid, and high. What do you guys think? Should I get a SRI, or is the CAI worth getting? Thanks! -dalton |

Well, let me put it to you this way. Even though I made my CAI intake.. the filter is still in the same place as all the other company's CAI's.. There is very small exposure from the underbody to the filter that water can hit. Past week, it rained about 3 days straight and I hit some pretty big puddles that actually wet the filter in an area about 1 inch x 1 inch. All I did was not go over 4K rpm and the car is still running great. I actually even got a pretty good quarter mile the other day too. 14.1.
