<<<ATTN. Injen CAI Owners...>>>
Ok I decided since I live in Florida and its hot as hell here during the summer to go head and get a cold air intake instead of the short ram... I rather take my risk with hydrolocked than heat soak... Plus u get more hp...
![]() So here are my question to those who have the injen CAI which is the one am goin with... ![]() -how does it feel on daily driving during traffic hours at low rpm??? -any bogging, its really bad??? -Is there any chance of heat soak at all??? -has Injen fixed the CEL when installed??? -On the FA5 does it have any fitment issue, like the FG2?? -is the hp really noticeble, how loud is the engine at vtec??? -has anyone hydrolocked??? -and last one would u go back to stock??? Every input would be appreciated.... ![]() |

i have the sri, and i can answer one question for ya.... about driving in the traffic... with a cai, from what i have heard, it basically sucks. with hot air, intake being made of metal and being heated by engine heat, and the intake being so long, it will bog like a mother.... hopefully u can get some more info from other members, and good luck

NO bogging at all i never get any bogging..... never knew this was an issue? Neverrrrr got a CEL everrrr i have a fa5 i have NO fitment issues dont even have to cut plastic to make it fit like it says in the directions HP TOP END is little noticeable and sounds AMAZING i love it it sits really high i think it would be impossible to hydrolock mine sits almost EXavtly right under my headlight i love my CAI PS. i have throttle body spacer , throttle body coolant bypass and i have never felt my intake get hot Last edited by 07_FG_4Dr_S.i.; 05-05-2008 at 09:34 PM. |

yes, thats true, but also if you are sucking in hotter air, your engine will bog down too. plus, the longer the piping for your intake, the longer it takes for the air your trying to get to the engine to actually get there, thus making the throttle responce a bit slower, and if you let the clutch go when its still trying to get that air, it will bog down a little bit... just a few ways bogging can occure, if that helps at all and if u can make since of it, lol... it makes since to me, but i dont know if u the reader will make since of it, lol....
