If they do indeed get 4 hp, the 8thcivic mob is going to get together and bash the hell out of this intake. Why, because they are to dumb to realize that this intake is designed to be used on a moving car, not a stationary dyno queen. I can see it now. "$400 bucks for 4 hp, that intake sucks" "My home made intake made way more hp than that."

Mean while, the educated will say, "The throttle response is great." "The car makes more power the faster you drive it"

to see what the afr looks like. see how its running. you can put a fan on it. they should have a small strong fan there.

How many fans do you know that can blow 30-105 mph winds (4th gear pull)?

Ok... and how do you know AJR isn't in the process of dyno-ing their products? Have you ever dealt with AJR or seen their other products? Obviously not, given your ridiculous (and ignorant) comments.

As Joey said, they just put it on last night. Maybe give him a week to get the numbers up, instead of jumping all over him. Also, DTP Vancouver is right around the corner, and I'm sure AJR has customer or project cars they need to complete to make the show.

With comments like yours, it's no wonder some sponsors are losing enthusiasm in developing quality products.

I just posted what I consider almost a treatise on why a dyno won't show true horsepower figures as well as why fans won't work. There is no way in God's green earth that a fan is going to simulate actual air velocity and pressure that a car experiences at speed. Zeuce, I like you a lot, but this dyno request is really getting old.

As for A/F info, that is something that could be tested and should be. I am a little concerned by the placement of the MAF sensor and the lack of vanes. I wonder if it would be better to use a sectioned MAF housing and then connect to the airbox? This might be the only drawback to this system.

If anyone has seen the Gruppe M thread, the OP, Nasif, did the right thing by using a sectioned MAF housing to go with the cowl induction intake. Thus, his A/F ratio should be as stock and drivability and throttle response should be the same as well, something missing from many aftermarket intakes.

finally somebody to bring the MAF location up like i did on the first page..

AFR doesnt need to be done by a dyno. The MSD Dashhawk shows AFR. I'm sure a company of that size could/should be able to afford $300 for R&D and testing to show proof.

If it counts, I thought the same thing when I saw where the MAF was, I just didn't say anything.

Pretty please with sugar on top, can T1R just sell the scoop

thats good to know because the mugen intake has a bracket to hold theirs in place.

you should post some more pics, like the bracket and the inside of the CF top.

i could care less about the horsepower. thats not why im asking for a dyno. i want to see the afr because the placement of the maf is not the best.

I understand, everyone here wants a dyno and the AFR. As I stated we will get them done, we will have a couple done. There will be a dyno with the intake and a dyno with our exhaust & header combo. We are on the process of getting this dyno please give us a week. We have a lot on our hands as stated by "Marc", we are preping for a big car show in Vancouver its called the DTP. We are working on project cars and at the same time releasing new products, help cutomers, and meeting the customers request. I will try to see if I can get more pictures of the intake up tomrrow.

As for the dyno, as some people already stated that doing the dyno will not show you ther full potential of the intake. We can do the dyno and once we get the results it is probably to be expected more because the dyno was stationary. The product was made for driving because it sucks more air into the intake, which makes the results differ from a stationary dyno. We will still get the dyno done for everyone's request since AFR is really important. As days goes by and when we get more information I will pass it on to everyone.

do you get a bottom piece also from where the air is going to come up from the scoop? with that question are you going to have to use OEM pieces? was there no need to replace that bottom piece?

You will get everything you need to install this intake. You will not need to supply anything yourself nor anything from your OEM parts at all. All the stuff is supplied in the kit, all the pieces are made by T1R for this intake. You are needed to replace the bottom piece because it is not the same as OEM because it is better. (That probably has answer all the questions regards the bottom portion)

To conclude all of this, all the parts are supplied in the T1R Air Conduct Box therefore they are bolt-on .

just make sure the dyno is in a temp controlled environment with stress put on the car..this should give accurate afr and dyno readings

Very very nice. I'll probably pick this up as I love the sound of the K20 WOT with an intake, but I really despise the metallic whooshing sound that can be heard all the time during just normal cruising. Sounds so ghetto.
