i sorta kinda cruised through the pages and didnt notice a whole lot about this is issue that i like about this T1R intake, and that is..... its made outta PLASTIC!!!! finally, an intake that wont heat up as much as the normal filter on a stick like most of the intakes that are out right now for our 8th gens... but thats one thing i like about this intake, just the fact that it is plastic/carbon fiber

I'll pay $500 for an intake that gives at least 8Whp. None of this crap that injen/aem do with "+13HP" and dyno says otherwise. - Most exhaust systems, if not all well made ones are $450+ and you might get 4hp out of them. So I'd say its a rather good deal. That being if it can make at least 8Whp.

i'd prefer 4hp throughout the powerband rather than 10hp at the top end. i dont drive @ 7800rpms all the time, so kinda pointless.

Just remember, the injen made power throughout the powerband. More so than the x did. I know the x is making around 4hp throughout.

Blue was X intake, dcrh, evo2, and reflash.
Red was injen cai, and dcrh.

Someone should get the t1r and do a comparison.

^ so even without the evo2 and reflash, the injen is making more power at low and high rpms...

You could say all aftermarkert performance parts are made in a garage.

you're right and they've always been like that. True, they don't look as good. I'm not trying to sway you. I just wanted to put that out there for people that may not have seen it yet. Good luck with the t1r.

In for dyno #'s.

I love the looks, love the design, but fashion can't always win over function (aka performance).

Me either. I hated it on the ep. It would whiste a ton as well. When I traded in my car for the fg, one of the guys at the dealership in the service dept took the injen cai off of it for his ep and later hydrolocked his motor. He shouldn't have gambled with big puddles.

the one i had was for the EM2 and it would rub against the frame. got rid of it before it made itself a hole on the intake potentially sending metal shards into the engine.

It should fit the FA5, but not the FA1 because non-SIs have a different engine, the R18. From the looks of what the guy wrote, though, they will have one available for the R18 engine, too.
