You both won't be dissappointed. I have had it on for less than a month now and the tone is beautiful. Not raspy by any means and the sound is great.

Although it seems to be a little bit too loud for me... but over all its a nice system.

megan axle back installed

I installed a Megan axle back the other day. It turned out pretty well. Install was easy. Although looks and sound are subjective here is my rating

Looks = 6/10

Sound = 8.5/10

I think the Megan axle back has a very nice sound. I think it might be a little louder than HFP, which is what i was looking for.

I took some pics and a vids...

I just washed car so exhaust was a little wet in the video

YouTube - megan axle back

Looks good man... I was watching the vid and was wondering, "hmmm that doesn't sound like mine..."

Then I realized that you just have the axleback?

Sounds good. if you put the mid-pipe the difference will be alot more noticeable!

Exhaust sounded sweet.

Dave1surf - Did you have any other mods on your car, or is it only the axel back.

just curious, why did you want an axle back and not a catback? The ws2 is pretty quiet and gives you the gains of a catback for example

Is the Megan axle back any more free flowing than stock? like performance wise. Because i have the Megan Racing Midpipe and SRH and worried that i am bottle necking with the stock axle back. Will the Megan axle back fix that? or is it the same size as stock?

I would think if you are concerned about restrictions, you might want to consider a full cat back system with 2.5 or higher piping? I am no expert so if anyone with more experience please chime in.

For me, I am considering getting this axel back for the added sound and the stock look. I am more for “show and shine” then performance.
