Injen CAI & Apexi filter metal 2 metal question?
I just got my Apexi filter in today. I bought the coupler to attach the filter to the intake. My question is, should I leave a gap between the flange of the filter and the intake itself when I go to attach it, so that its not metal to metal? or make sure the flange is seated against the intake and then tighten the coupler down?
I'm thinking that if there's a gap, it might reduce performance? but then again if it seat it again it to each other, it'll be metal to metal, but I'm thinking that the coupler will absorb the vibration, and will not cause damage? Any help would be appreciated, thanks. |
