"scientific experiment" for air temp in SRI

Ok, I have my SI 100% at this time, but I am waiting my Injen CAI arrives. but I want to test the air temp for a SRI.

So, than I did was to put a temp probe near the firewall when a SRI must be and drive my car.

Opposed I ever read about SRI, I see more faster the car more warm the air temp.
Only I can think is the air pass throw the radiator, the engine and finally the firewall, so, when I drive faster the radiator and engine temp increase and the air flow increase the temp.

I also see when the car was stopped in a traffic light the temperature of the air goes down and when start moving the temp increases.

Maybe this information can be useful.

Don't you think this experiment will be more acurate if you measure inside the intake tubing?
How long was the experiment?
Can we see the results?

Interesting result indeed

Get a ScanGuageII... end of story.... measues intake air temp.... Mine deffinately warms up after I am at a light a little bit, and cools down when moving.

ya, OP, get a something that really works, like the scangauge II, not some stupid half ass experiment. i've got it juss like oganized chaos above and temp goes up while stopped and goes down when moving... i have a thread on this already with this info and comparing temps of aftermarket intake temps and stock intake temps... search for it...

WOW... youre extremely hard to understand. Like somebody else said, the air outside your intake is pointless to test. You would want your sample group to be as close to combustion as possible. outside just doesnt cut it.
