CRV MAF sensor question-X Factor V2

Does anyone know if the CRV MAF sensor housing is what Emmanuel-X Factor used in his V2 for cams intake? I need to know this as I am trying to finish up my cowl induction intake. If I could use the CRV MAF sensor rather than the Si MAF sensor, this would make my job a whole lot easier.

I bought a CRV airbox and was going to section out the housing and use a modified Si MAF housing instead. The reason I have to section it out is because there is no way for my to connect my cone filter inside the box with the intake tube angled the way it is. I need to make a straight connection once inside the airbox.

If anyone has any info, please help. BTW, here is what my friend K20z3Koop said in the cowl induction thread:

From what I've heard from Emmanuel, the CRV housing is smaller in diameter than the Si. This causes the MAF sensor to see more air and ultimately run richer. That is why he used the CRV housing for his 'V2 for cams' intake. I actually think that may be beneficial to those of us with race headers etc...

Dang, I wish I had an answer for you Bill. It's sad that no one can get hold of Emmanuel now after all the drama he had to deal with. I have the V1 so I don't think that'll help.

i don't see how that was use of any help whatsoever.

anyway, i remember reading that x just shaved the vanes on the si housing differently for the v2 than the v1.
i could be wrong though lol

This is also what he had told me over the phone when we were still in contact regarding testing etc.

And, there was such a hubub over his intake because there WERE big gains, I got 12whp in my stock setup...

I don't need you to feel sorry for me. I appreciate your thoughtfulness though.

But please try and add something valuable to the discussion at hand next time you decide to post.

Not very helpful there. I was looking for info on the MAF housing vanes, not a diss on the X-Factor intake....

For the rest of you, thanks. Excalibur told me they are exactly the same. No difference between the CRV and Si MAF sensor housing and vanes inside.

I know the 2 MAF sensors are interchangeable. Part numbers are the same. But when I asked Emmanuel about using CRV cover he said they were different internally.

I found that weird but took his word for it.

That is correct.

The housing is the same on the inside. I had both in front of me before. Nitrous, where do you think you got your pics from that you're using to compare the size of the airboxes? I can assure you that even though x may or may not have said that about thing internals, they are in fact the same. Maybe look at the accord on possibly.

On a side note, I put on the injen cai again and noticed a huge difference in power and lost alot of sound. Deeper again and makes way more. I used my apexi filter from the x intake though. I think the x intake is the best sri though.
