Any trick to remove the intake manifold?

I was trying to install my P2R MIG and spacer this afternoon. I got to the point where I had to pull out the *** ass intake manifold. The ******* bracket mount stopped me from pulling the manifold out. I tried one hour and gave up. How the **** did you guys remove that sucker? Thanks for the help.

go underneath the car an disconnect the bracket from the bottom bolt and remove the two upper studs with two nuts on the stud or a pair of vise grips, but dont strip the threads. after that, it takes a bit of play, but it will break loose and pull off, and it juss needs to be pulled back far enough to slide the gasket in, and dont forget to take the old one out, but it should juss fall off by itself... good luck...

U dont have to remove the bracket......Just take out the 2 studs the intake sits on and it should come off.

Definitely use the "double nut" method to remove the studs, not vice grips as you'll doink up your studs. I couldn't fit both nuts that had been on the IM to do this method so I bought two nuts at Home Depot and shaved them down so they would both fit on the stud with adequate thread engagement. I took pictures when I did mine last Friday but haven't had a chance to do a DIY. soxfan143 tipped me of to the abbreviated method. PM me if you need more help.
