Best Header for 08 fg2?
I've been looking on here and I see that a lot of people are happy with the Vibrant header, but my question is how does it perform compared to the Buddy club? I've never put headers on my car so I guess I'm a noob when it comes to this... whats the best header for my car? I don't wanna be cheap with my parts so I don't mind paying a little more for quality parts... Can anyone help me out? thanks guys

I prefer personally to pair same company parts, just me though. If you have Vibrant catback, stick with the Vibrant header. It's nice to know yer stuff is made for itself, even more so when dealing with a high end company.
If you have piece it togethers from all different companies, eh yer guess would be good as mine. I am sure you would be happy with either. Be real careful tho when matching yer header and exhaust. |

I did this thread expressly to help answer questions like this. The BuddyClub should be close to the Vibrant RH. Some people say it is 2-3hp more, but I can't verify this. One thing for sure, the Vibrant has the BuddyClub beat on price.
Mother of all questions about race header threads

DO you agree that you should try to keep everything within the same company, in other words if i go w/ the vibrant header I should try to stick to vibrant exhaust? or it doesn't much a difference? thanks for your help bro |

Well, I know that Vibrant has designed their race header to work best with their cat-back systems. You can mix and match, but I like staying with the same system.

Damn would that be awesome with my MPR 70mm exhaust...wow. I hear the Vib RH works well with the Skunk2 exhaust, but is damn loud. Just the way me likes it. |

Good point. I too am a little surprised that Skunk2 is so late to the party. Can you imagine their race header with the 70mm cat-back? Talk about power and sound! BTW, get me the info about the 4-2-1/4-1 header info so I can update the race header thread.

Mixing and matching is fine, I think a DCRH along with whatever exhaust fits your needs is the way to go (looks and sound wise) but I'm also a quality + value guy, not just quality, I mean isn't that what the Honda Civic is, quality and value? I'm running the Apexi WS2 exhaust which looks very close to stock to avoid the coppers hassling me and perhaps discovering a catless system. The sound is also plenty loud for me but very clean and smooth, loud on a hot day, not too loud on cooler nights when I might be carting the wife off to a fancy dinner out , because that's the kind of guy I am... lol.Last edited by BrineSI; 04-02-2008 at 12:06 AM. |

What's interesting is that Excalibur had a BuddyClub RH on his Si and got rid of it. He put on a DCSports header and feels the performance was similar between the two. DCSports makes a very affordable RH for those on a budget.
