ractive filter

I saw this at eBay and unfortunately I bought it, there’s a lot of discussion about sri heat soak ,I just hope it works. So I came home then put it in right away, took it for a drive and it feels awesome not because it’s a awesome product, it’s because it’s new. My old filter is like 3 years old already, this filter is kind of quieter than my old one but definitely better than the old one ,and it’s $21.00 shipped.

old filter 10,000 miles hehehehe

I had onr of those filters and I'm sorry to say it is terrible. It rusted so bad that the rust pieces were getting sucked into my motor. I had it on my 99 accord V6 on my CAI. I could see the pieces of rust stuck to the front of the throttle plate. When I saw the rust on the filter I immediately checked the TB and that's what I saw. It was only on the car for one winter and it was just destroyed. And on the Accord V6 the whole area where the filter was was completely enclosed in plastic. It was protected from the elements really well. There was no way anything but a little moisture would get at the filter. Basically, that filter is bad news.

It looked like it was an Apexi/Fujita/Injen filter. Why didn't you just clean it?

And why is there a sweatband around your intake?
