nor was i directing any ONE comment at any ONE particular person. i was saying that people just dont understand this product that we have been talking about for some time now...

they come in...read the first page, see the part, see the price then make comments based on that!

...i even posted a dyno chart of this product (again, pointless considering the concept) and its NOT 7whp, its 9whp...

secondly this intake can be had for UNDER 1200!!!!!!! jesus...people need to search and get some contacts...it took me 3 days to find better pricing.

I'm curious how much you spend on those CTR wheels if you think the intake price is so ridiculous. What about that shift knob? I'm sure there are many people in the same boat as you that wouldn't spend $500 on a set of 4 rims. Oh well.. different strokes for different folks. Lets all mod our Civics the way we want and keep the negative out! Sure I'm not going to pay a grand for an intake, but I'm not going to bash the people that will or the product itself.

Time could be much better spent getting Bill's cowl off his damn car

Please take note: This is a great example of constructive criticism.

Quite frankly Dizzle, I think you own the best possible intake out there (besides maybe the Grouppe M) for a modded Si. I'm not too sure exactly what the gains are, but I've heard they're pretty good. Hydrolock scares me though (I live by the coast and ours streets tend to flood easily).

yeah back on topic... LOL

sctuned is not gonna distribute this product...

its can be had for less than 1200....

dyno is NOT a good way to measure realworld hp gains w/ this intake

vvv an FD2 was dyno'd with this intake and made 9.4ps over stock. vvv

Maximus Racing | News > GruppeM Ram Air system now available for the new Honda Civic Type R FD2!

some people will pay for this, some wont. nuff said! lol

the end.

We were the first to do alot of things, but hey none of that shit counts. While I am flattered by the petition thing, I cant even get a response on what can be done to straighten out the situation. So before any of you go getting banned, dont sweat it.

We wont frequent the site much anymore. I barely had time to check my pm's back then and I really have no reason to now. I will just let you know that my brain is kicking in high gear.

I appreciate all the business you guys have given us and I will always be around if you need me. You guys know my email and our phone that actually works now. Some of you have my cell, so just hit me up.

Peace out 8thcivic! It was a fun ride while it lasted.

If any of us gets banned for just asking questions or trying to help out someone we deeply respect here, then the site is not worth belonging to anymore. This is supposed to be a community of people sharing a love for 8th Gen Civics and for enhanced performance, looks and handling of their cars. I think we all want what is best for the site and for all the members. What I don't want to do is to create more problems on the site.

I respect Webby and am both praying and doing my part to help get SCTuned reinstated. I believe Webby is a fair man and that we can appeal to his sense of fair play. I understand where he is coming from and I do appreciate his willingness to look out for members. It is just that a few members have ruined it for the rest of us. My issue isn't with Webby, it is with the couple of malcontents who probably moan no matter who they ordered from. Hopefully, this can all be taken care of and here's to hoping things end peacefully and amicably.

The site has had a few problems with vendors in the past. Webby is just doing what he knows is right. We can't keep having people lose money because then its webbys problem after that. Then he has to spend all his time fixing the problem he could have easily fixed by acting fast before more people are affected.

Zeuce, nobody is challenging Webby's right to run the sight as he sees fit. Also, I think everyone can understand the difficult position he is put in when some people file complaints against a vendor.

However, you need to have equal weights and measures. How long was Turbo Mafia and X's intake allowed to go on before something was done about it? I was one of the guys who got scammed by Turbo Mafia even though some people had already begun to complain about the company.

Where has the consistent pattern of challenges been to SCTuned's customer service? I don't ever recall anything until that stupid thread was first started by someone who claimed he hadn't received his stuff even though there were mitigating circumstances that contributed to the delay.

The issue at hand is an amenable way to allow Carlos to speak directly to Webby and clear the issue up. I would hope that Carlos would be allowed to explain his side of things and to be given a chance to be vindicated of the matter.

The intake will fit the Coupe, but there is the undecided opinion regarding the wiper cowl area, which is an integral part of the Gruppe M system. Some say it is the same and some say it is different. I found different parts numbers for the wiper cowl, but a couple of guys say it is exactly the same.

As for extra things to do, you will have to make a cut in the plastic shelf area just below the wiper cowl so that the scoop can connect to the base of the wiper cowl. Also the brake fluid reservoir needs to be moved over slightly, neither of which is a big deal.

The MAF sensor is addressed by sectioning out an Si MAF sensor housing and using that along with a silicone coupler. Check out the first post of this thread to see what the OP did.

It is a superbly designed system that will make a solid performance gain.
