hondata said that it will work on the reflash as long as you dont rev it pass the reflashed TSX rev limiter which is 7600rpm as thier website says..

Got it. Good to hear that the AFR will be adjusted by the MAF. Kind of sad to see the rev limit at 7600 though.

^ From the Hondata thread. he was referring to the K24 block, not cams.

he was talking about cams... mybe a typo,

if you can run a k24 engine to our car,why running a SI reflash? you have a TSX engine or CRV's engine bolted on your car.....

I also have TSX cams and have for a few months. There is no way they are making 10-15hp. They maybe make 5 tops. Until I see a dyno I don't believe it. I only made 196 sae and 205 uncorrected. The dyno could have been a little off since it was just recalibrated, the AFRS were off, I installed a wideband
after I got the dyno done because they made me nervous and the dyno sniffer was running leaner than it really was.

Here is a link to my dyno

Dyno run, help needed!

3)K24s work.. and dont run lean.. but dont rev it over what hondata raises the rev limiter to on a K24a2 TSX.

from hondatas website:
5000 rpm VTEC point decreased from 6000 rpm
7600 rpm Rev limit, increased from 7300 rpm (for auto trans must be in sportshift mode)
Maximum torque gain 26 ft/lbs torque at 6000 rpm
Maximum power gain 29 hp at 6000 rpm
Peak torque increases from 169ft/lbs at 4500 rpm to 175 ft pounds at 7500 rpm
Peak power increases from 206 hp at 7100 rpm to 210 at 6800 rpm
Very wide flat smooth torque curve. 90% of peak torque available from 2000-7000 rpm.
Passes Californian smog testing (no measurable difference from stock)
Fully dealer compatible - works with all Honda scan tools and equipment
The Hondata TSX reflash is designed for use with an intake and headers. It will work very well with a stock airbox and stock headers. Testing was done with a stock cat back system.

Why? Peak power is reached at 7800 on our cars. If you look at dynos without Hondata the power drops off slightly above 7800.

That still refers to the K24 ENGINE not k20 engine with k24 cams.. I'm not seeing it..

I don't see how he typo'd engine for cams several times...

That dyno run is what led to me saying "F**K it" and ordering my Comptech kit haha. I mean the car feels good, better than it did before. I am going to try to get it at least one track run with this set up, I haven't run with the cams yet and we'll see if I get a better time, I think we are going to try to hit the track this upcoming weekend.

Batang, that post is about using a K24 block with the Z3 head. Not using the K24 cams in the Z3 head.

He is saying that a K24 block should not be spun as high as a K20 - you'll prolly spin a bearing.
