skunk 2 or bust

id really like to get the 70mm exaust, but sooo many people talk about how bad they fit because of the hangers. i dont want to have to cut anything. i dont understand why an exaust cant just fit like butter 90% of the time. skunk 2 is the ive heard(read) the most complaints about. has the company adressed this at all? if i bought one right now is it gonna fit like sh#t? i really hope im just worrying too much......

I got mine this past January, and it still had the long hangers. But a couple people here have had their exhaust fitted with the proper hanger length, I think.

Shoulda bought mine, the hangers are already cut. But, look into the used section, there should be plenty that have the hangers already cut. Or, drop by a muffler shop and ask them to cut the hangers for you. It should only be the ones at the axleback, and only about an inch or two.

I just bent up the little metal area above the hangers. Gave it a few whacks and it was PERFECT. It looked the exact same as before I poked at it. The skunk2 is REALLY worth it. I have the 70mm and this thing SCREAMS when I get in vtec. The fujita SRI + the skunky is like heaven after 5k. GET it man! You will NOT regret it. Best of luck!

The hangers are a piece of cake to mod.

I even made a DIY. Wheel grinder works best for sure.

DIY: Modify Skunk2 exhaust hangers

No shit! Those hangers must be made of that metal they found at the Area 51 crash site. Those things were a pain in the ass to hack. Definitely use a grinder to cut them down to size.
