K-Intake

My revised version of the X.. I currently have Injen SR

I received all the parts to do the " X " Intake last week.

I am currently fully modded, So the X would gain me nothing
Did not do any shaving on the MAF. Intalled it straight from the housing..
Installed it with my Injen filter.
Injen filter is much bigger than the MAF. I had to shim some rubber in between. The beginning piping is 3.5 inches on the SR

Results to the butt dyno. Feels much smoother and better throttle response
I had a pause in the throttle when I tapped it or let off on the gas. This is now gone. The Injen is much louder due to the metal piping.

I just need to make a stand.. Time to go to HD and get some metal.

I think if left unsanded it will provide gains for the modded cars. But I MAY be wrong. Its just a thought

Kevin, I'm working Justin and using his MAF. I'm getting in on this home-made intake action.

I've got access to a shop with sheet metal and a brake. If you can give me some dimensions, I can try get you something made.

Pepboys has an intake stand. I bought one and does the job, you just have to put it together.
