Matt, I can't remember what the distance is from the O2 bung to the exhaust flange is. The only glitch might be when you are screwing the defouler in and the extra length will hit the exhaust flange.

For everybody else.. I will be having these ready by friday (hopefully)

About $40 each.
Is this a piece that has to be welded in though? It looks a lot like the Vibrant J style oxygen sensor bung, and that one needs to be welded in.

It looks like the defouler might hit the flange while turning it to screw it in. I also thought you didn't need a defouler with the HFC. Or are you doing it just to amke sure there is no CEL?

See, I can't remember how much vertical clearance there is. That's what I was mainly worried about. I hadn't even thought about the exhaust flange.

I've been worried when I try to screw it in, that it would start to hit when the angled part is starting to get around the 11, or 12 o clock position that it won't spin all the way around. Does that even make sense?

I throw a CEL EVERY 20 miles.

Wow that sucks. Even with the cat you throw a CEL. Huh, I've read that people don't use defoulers with the Vibrant w/HFC and have no problems at all. Although I would probably install one just to be safe anyway. I'm hoping to get the HFC to weld onto my DCRH just so I can have peice of mind and not have to worry about getting my car towed for being illegal.

Yeah, it makes perfect sense. I too have thought about when the angled part is at the 12 o'clock position. I think you actually will have enough clearance for that.

Great. If the fitting is TIG'ed on, then everything should be fine.

I interpret what he said to mean that they will TIG weld on a piece so that it can be threaded into the O2 bung.
