This is why in MA I can't get a CAI

The picture above just simply demonstrates what the streets of Boston and the Metro Boston area looks like after 4 days of consecutive rain.

O my friends GSR Integ had a CAI on it and drove through similiar water and he heard the CAI actually sucking in the water and then his engine stalled out... when he started it back up he got tons of white smoke coming out his exhaust but everything seemed fine afterwards.... He's very lucky.

I'm not trying to scare noone but for me I couldn't go with a CAI if I wanted to... especially being as the SI is my daily driver.

Another one... I use to own a G35 and I got this pic from a previous posts about driving through big puddles of water...

Afterwards my car smelled like shit from underneath and there was alot of steam coming from the bottom...

Hate to be driving through them but you really don't got a choice.

haha
i live in MA
and during those storms one of my friends civic with a cai, got hydrolocked
it would not turn over.
We removed all spark plugs and kept trying to crank it on..
Water was literally shooting 15 feet in the air.
After doing that for about 20 mins, we went bought some new spark plugs, tossed them in and after a few more trys at cranking it, it fianlly came on..
White smoke comming out the exhaust.
changed the oil twice, changed the spark plugs again,
and his car runs as good as before the hydrolock..
He was VERY VERY lucky.

Yes definately... on my G35 I only changed the OEM intake tube with a Z tube which is just less restrictive with stock air box and K&N filter if I had a CAI I would've been doomed.

MA sucks.. bad job on all of the road engineering.

Hoping I won't have to put my brand new SI through it.

It was like that here too. It gets so bad sometimes they have to shut towns down because the only ways to get to or from them are under 4 or more feet of water. We have a LOT of dips and bridges that flood here...

...which is why I live at the base of the mountain
