please help hondadata

hi my name sam an im from mesa az i currently own a honda accord sedan 4 cylinder, an im supposed to pick up my silver si coupe sometime next month. i verryyy new to this whole modding thing so a have some questions bout hondadata, so far iv heard that it baisicly upgrades the stock ecu and can add some reasonable amount of power.but will this result in not passing emmisions or bad fuel econonmy???i know it probably gonna void the warranty but next to forced induction i think this is the best modd u can do to a honda.. oo ya and i heard that hondadata or reflash only work if u have an upgraded exhaust an intake is this true????im sorry bout the noob questions and would appriciate some help thank you

It's called "Hondata" not "HondaData", the reflash itself should not effect your emissions or change your gas mileage - however the header/exhaust that you have on your car might...Before you get the Hondata reflash I believe it is recommended/required that you have at least the following things:

an intake,
a racing header,
or intake/header
or even intake/exhaust,
or even header/exhaust,
or of course, all three I/H/E

Hondata's website states:
You must have a minimum of an intake or header. (for the reflash)

Get any part or combination of parts listed above before you send in your ECU to Hondata for the reflash.
