Impressive. I'm not sure on the lengths as I've never had the bumper off, but it wouldn't need to be that long as I'd use hoses to connect the pieces. The ID of the ellipse needs to be 117x67mm, but it needs a 2mm thick x 4mm wide rim on the front of it for a total OD of 125x75mm.

So something more like this?

Hey Chad, thanks for helping out. The second design would work better because with a SRI, there will be little room between the filter and the cowl area. The main problem now is to create a housing large enough to incorportate an Apexi or K&N type filter. Once that filter is enshrouded, it should be relatively easy to make a hole in the cowl area and connect to the air induction box.

rough sketch:

re-use the rubber(#13) to place it at the fog light location. I done this on my car(routing air into the air filter) the IAT on my Sri saw a decrease of temperature by 10 degrees on the HDS when I tested my "getto ram intake"

This is a well thought out setup. It certainly has merit. Since the FA5's don't have the dedicated holes for the fog lights, could the intake tube be placed in the lower intake area?

Jeremy, I registered, but can't find anything. Is there a specific area I should be looking in?

Wow, that was a lot of reading to do. You guys really have something going here. Hope this all works out.

I think that ARC was working on something like this also, but I don't think anything ever came of it. Pretty much the same idea as the Icebox I believe.

The ARC is made out of aluminum. They make great looking stuff, but it would better to have the air induction box made out of plastic instead like the Icebox.

Oops. I think I put this in the wrong thread before. Could this be used either in the fog light cutout, or rigged to work off the cowl area somehow?

I checked out the Ford setup I was talking about and there is not going to be enough volume inside to efficiently supply air. It's too small. We would be starving the intake for air. Not enough volume inside. But I still think that the gruppe M system would be the best setup for what we want to do. But since it's way too expensive I'm giving up. I will get super frustrated knowing that there is a perfect setup out there that I could use while I TRY get other inferior products to work. It will drive me nuts not being able to try out the best possible solution.
