Nice find!!

I don't know, but it would have to be dimensionally within what we are looking for, for our engine compartment. I could call them for the specs.

Yeah, if anyone can make that work, they got my money. That is if it has good driveability and makes more power than my x.

It could fit inside the engine bay but you have to make sure the Apexi filter will fit inside also. So nobody thinks the ford style intake box is a good idea? They have an inlet and outlet at both ends that we could attatch piping to. And it would seal up for positive pressure. I'm going to check it out at work on monday. We always have a few ford vans come in for LOF's everyday from enterprise rent a car. You guy work on that CAI box thing and someone check out the GSR setup.

It's too bad everyone that's active in this forum didn't live in the same area. I'm sure we would be able to come up with something after a week of prototypes, beers, and brainstorming; followed by dyno runs.

It might be worth a call.
I see they didn't make 1 for an RSX.Hummmm.
I have my doubts about the earlier Civic box, something tells me it will have enough volume to feed our Si's.

My idea is to mock up a custom shape taylored to the space we have using chicken wire mesh amd once the shape was finalized, then I'd fiberglass over the mesh. Voila! Custom induction box!

That would be great. But I suck with fiberglass. I hate it. I know this is obvious but make sure you can fit the filter inside without and problems.

Way ahead of ya! The plan was to have a bolt on front panel.

Mike, can you post up a pic of the Ford box?

BTW, I found this K&N system for a Ford Focus. I think we are getting closer.

Well, Texas is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Minnesota by heading north on I35.

Wonder what happen with this piece:?

NitrousG35 will be sending you some pics of a ram intake I have on my car for research.... Also here is something I poted a while ago:

The expression "ram air" typicaly refers to isolated combustion air for the engine that is forced-fed from vehicle velocity(speed)If taken from a high pressure area(foglight location)any forward facing air intake should be capeable of increasing the force in the inlet system. Because the inlet is supplied at over ambient temperature, the manifold density is increase as a result. One can calculate the additional force by applying the equation

Why not turn the 'scoop' the other way....or cut a home where the FUJITA sticker is and go from there?

I did this...and posted on it, about 2 months back?? maybe more? :)

What would it take to make this style intake work? Gruppe M's stuff is super pricey, but second to none.

Thanks Rene. It looks like access can be made to the cowl area by what you outlined. I will take a look at my car today for further investigation.
