If those 5-6 people dont like something about your posts... they can easily leave instead of you. Dont take it too personal Bill. Everyone knows how great and knowledgeable you are. This forum already lost X which in my opinion was one of the most knowledgeable guys around here. I am not talking about his intake business. I would just ignore all the PMs and keep up with your great work Bill...

I'm familiar with the phenomena. In my experience, the nastier the critic, the less they've done to help anyone. While I haven't read every one of your 7,116 posts, I appreciate the time you've taken to write legible, useful posts, and your efforts with this project.

You can please most people some of the time and you can please some people most of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time.
If you don't post pics and a DIY, I'm coming to MN to hunt your ass down and make you watch NASCAR until you post pics and a DIY. ![]()

I know a lot about suspensions. Some people get mad (usually the ones that believe the ricer myths) and most people like the help. Don't walk away be strong and stay. Just roll your eyes next time it happens.

Everyone, thanks for the support. Your comments may sway my mind to try and do this step by step with info on parts and where to get them as well as pictures to document everything.
As for my critics, thank goodness they are not respected IMO. It does get annoying when you have people telling you to leave the forum, you think you own the site and you think that you know everything. I did offer a challenge to those who have gone on the attack by asking them to report me to Webby or the forum leaders if I am as bad as they say. So far, none have taken up the challenge as far as I know because I haven't violated any site rules. It is funny how one can go from hero to zero in the span of a couple of hours. One moment things are going copacetically and the next, you would think that I had Machiavellian plans to take over the site. With that said, here is where I am at for the moment: CRV airbox is done. Amsoil cone filter is installed inside the cover. Soxfan just shipped me the first of his MAF housings designed for a race header and cat-back. It is quite nice. I have notched the plastic/metal shelf so there is clearance for the CRV cover. I will do a test fit again this weekend with the entire airbox, air filter and MAF housing sans cowl induction. I want to test out how it would perform just doing this mod. This is primarily to help Paul-Sirbelch out. Once the airbox is in and snugged down, I'll play with different things I have to finish up the project. I may use the BSR duct I have or Spectre Industries flexible tubing, or rubber connectors I got at Home Depot. I will try and set up a dyno time just for the CRV airbox and Soxfan MAF housing w/o cowl induction as that can't be simulated on a dyno. I will have to check with any of my Minnesota connection for the use of a Scanguage or the like to measure air temperature differentials. For anyone who has followed this thread, I had no intention of keeping you out of the loop. My plan was to offer a sign up sheet and I would PM you with everything you need to know. I'll think this out about a DIY. Thanks again everyone for the backup I have gotten.

Nitrous, I am definitely in for an update. I turned my stock airbox into a hollowed-out icebox intake from behind the foglight, but was looking for a way to increase the total surface area of the filter element for better air flow. unfortunately, you can't accomplish this with the stock box.
I'd thrown some various ideas around in my own head, but if the CR-V box will work AND fit securely within the Si's bay, I think it would be absolutely great. I'm absolutely in for updates.

I'm sorry to hear about your issues about the pm's. I say if you have problems like that, you should let the mod's know. Or just go ahead and tell 2fast4u. People shouldn't harrass you. I would hate to see you go. I say stick to your idea. There are people that want to see it finished and see the results and possibly do it themselves. I got off of the idea a while back, but I still think it would be sweet if you did it regardless of what people think. If you need help with anything, just pm me.
