X did a filter test and found the Apex was the best flowing and cleaning. So the are not always inversely proportional.

I never said they were inversely proportional, simply that I'd want to see filtration effectiveness before standing behind amsoil filters.

Mike, I appreciate the fact that I am receiving the first one. I am excited to try it out. As soon as I get it, I will finish up the cowl induction. I have put the cowl induction on the back burner because I have had a lot of detailing to do to my G35 and Si. I'll get back on track once the MAF housing comes.
Sweet. How's the weather been up there lately. I remember you saying there was a snow storm but has that melted away yet? It must have if you're detailing your cars. But anyway, I can't wait to see what my MAF housing does with cold freash air. It makes awesome power with hot air so it will probably kick the crap out of the Injen with Nitrous' design. I hope. I'm going to start my own developement of a ram air soon also. I really wanted a Gruppe M intake but I just don't think it's realistically possible to get one up here in MA. So it looks like I'm gonna have to create my own like Nitrous.

I guess he was just waiting for my MAF housing so he could connect the ram air to the airbox. I broke the first one I was maiking. I craxked one of the vanes while I was doing my thing. The RH intake version has a lot of modding done to the inside and it becomes rather fragile after all the material is removed. And I've broken a rew of them in the process.

Mike, the weather couldn't be any crappier. We had snow last week and it rained from Wednesday night until late Sunday night as well.

We are supposed to have a meet in Minnesota on Saturday, but guess what? Rain tonight, tomorrow, Friday and Saturday. Oh, lows will be in the 20's. Sheesh, this state is driving me crazy.

Mike, I'll help you out with the cowl induction, once I get everything up and running. You are first on my list to help out.

Got both of you guys in line as well. I am working with Mike first because I want to test out the MAF housing with the CRV airbox first before I connect a duct to the wiper cowl. I take care of my friends!

Amsoil has nanotechnology in its filters, so I suppose they would be on a par with Apexi or Fujita. What I like about them is the dry filter element. Another reason I picked it was because of the size of the filter element, which is smaller than the Apexi and fits nicely inside a CRV airbox.

The project has been kind of delayed until I get my MAF housing. Soxfan is shipping it out, so I should get it early next week. I'll try to get it done by next weekend. Sorry for the snail's pace I have been working at.

I have finished the CRV airbox. The filter with coupler is installed in the airbox. I covered the top of the airbox with a vinyl carbon graphite overlay to give it a little more bling.

I also cut the plastic/metal shelf area and have begun a cut in the base of the plastic wiper cowl area. I will not complete the cut until I get the airbox reinstalled and decide how I will fashion the duct. I have several options and really can't finish until the airbox is in place.

Could you possibly do a cut of the shelf for just the box before you cut it for the scoop too? And take pictures? And post them? And give dimentions? And? And? And?

Paul, I will try to get pics ASAP. I have already cut the shelf, but have not cut the cover of the CRV airbox. Soxfan shipped my MAF housing, so I should get it next Monday. I will take pics before any other installation so that you can get a picture what it looks like. I know you are interested in just running the CRV airbox.
