You're both wrong. I'm not sure if it'll have vanes in it or not. I told them they should check out this site to help with the product, but it seems as though it's getting finished up already. I haven't seen it myself either, but he's supposed to let me know when they release it.

Are you talking about the Password JDM cf intake or the other [sounds kind of confidential, like the other woman] intake? I know Mike-soxfan is doing his own thing to modify his MAF and X supposedly had plans for a MAF that would work better with exhaust mods. The suspense is killing me. Please just give us a little teaser about what is happening.

A new company, a new intake, a new option. That's all the details for now. All other details will come in time as I get them. I'm talking about the other option, not the pjdm one. The pjdm one is gonna be out as soon as they get the rest of their hardware. I'm guessing for the battery relocation kit, but that's a guess.

OK, that is all I need to hear. Good to hear someone else is working on this besides as the aluminum sticks with filter tips out there. I can wait. Owning an 8th Gen Civic is all about waiting and waiting and waiting. You know what I mean: K-Pro, Comptech Icebox, new age type intake etc.

correct. Aftermarket, not homemade. Hopefully like the icebox, but no other details for sure. I'm not sure what it'll be like. They wouldn't give me spoiler pics yet. I will let everyone know as soon as I know if someone else doesn't end up finding out before me. I doubt that though.

Maybe the guys here can get some bribe money so that you can have a little look-see with your hidden camera.

So this whole thread was somewhat pointless due to that hidden company making this intake?

no not pointless. Cuz now the idea of Ram air is out there and clearly, there are several different versions of it. Question is, which one really works, which gives the most gains, and which one is cheapest haha.

The thing about ram air, is you cant dyno it unless you can find a fan the blows 80mph air.

Their discussion and ideas are still the same. FYI, the company that's coming out with one soon, I'm sure isn't doing anything like they're stating here.

What is the differance in a conicle shape and say a flat filter?

I am still on the path of how to create stuff. Well I got a wonderful idea well looking into building my computer case. We could use acrylic sheets to form a airtight box around the filter. Acrylic is easy to work with, cheap, and looks slick ass snot. You can buy a 2'x2' sheet of 1/8 acrylic for say $15 and the apoxy (wich basically welds the acrylic together) for another $10. Plus it is a super dense, heat resistant plastic. Wich would mean less heat soak.

They also make tubing (wick isnt hard to bend at all). So ahh if anyone is still pondering this there is some more info for ya.

I think it's due to the increased surface area that a cone filter has. Helps get more air in.

Your exactly right. You get more surface area in less space
