I/H/E worth it?

Hello, new here. Just got an 08 Si Sedan last week. Habanero Red. Anyway, I had an intake on my old EP3 (Injen Short Ram) and was thinking of getting I/H/E on the new one. I don't like it very loud and I want to keep my CAT. Is the extra 10 WHP worth the money? Can you really notice a difference? Also, I searched and saw that the Greddy Evo 2 is supposed to be fairly quiet, is this whole setup going to be loud as hell?

What are my options for a header that will not take place of my converter?

as for the evo 2, it is a very nice deep throatier exhaust thats not too loud.
for the header you could either get a vibrant header with high flow cat, another option would be the comptech shorty header with a random tech high flow cat.

congrats on your new FA5

Congrats on the purchace. Where are the pics?

I would do the Evo2 and Vibrant Header with Cat, like CDK SI said on his post.

You aren't going to see much of a gain from the Evo2. Its the same size piping as stock. If you want a larger gain, go with the Vibrant exhaust. I can't even hear the Evo2 most times when I hear it in person.

umm wow....i have the injen cai, greddy evo II, comptech header, and random tech high flow cat and hondata reflash combo and I can tell a BIG difference over stock. The Greddy evo II is perfect for you it sounds like....its quiet when you want it to be just crusing down the road and when you want to get on it...its a perfect deep sound!! I HIGHLY recommend this setup...i love it!

How much money are you willing to spend?

Your not going to notice a huge difference in just intake and exhaust,in my opinion since i have been there is to just get the I/H/E off here used to save a few bucks and then get the reflash and be done and YES you will be happy in the end......Good luck and keep us updated.

Oh yea congrats and welcome to the crew....

I'm trying not to spend over $1200 for I/H/E. I figured $250 for intake, $500 for header, $450 for exhaust. I was planning on the Reflash in the spring. But, you guys think it's worth it?

Or, should I go with HFP suspension, HFP front lip, tint, tires first? In the end I want all of the above mentioned. I don't really care what order, I just want better handling, appearence, and power.

Thanks for all the replies. Much better here than at Honda-tech.

Huh? What's that mean? Sorry, I'm new. I don't want a race header, I want to keep the cat, legal is better for me. Will Injen CAI, Comptech header, Greddy EVO 2 be loud as balls?

Great, thanks for all the help guys. I've ordered the Injen CAI and Greddy Evo 2. Last question is the header. How's the Comptech and where is the best place to order it?

Alright, all set to go. I/H/E and the high-flow cat. My girl ordered me the HFP front lip too!!! I just dropped a lot of money on a one week old car! Thanks for help. I'll be taking it to the dyno in the next month and share the results. Any guesses on what it will be? I'm really hoping for 200+, but I doubt it.

Yea, that's 500 just for the shorty. It doesn't include the hfc.

All in all it was$1,378. I looked at the Vibrant, but I'm just a Comptech fan. They've never done me wrong.
