Arrow 2008 Canadian Si Feels like Rev Hang

Here's my setup;

Ingen CAI
Viberent headers w/ high flow cat
Evo2 Catback

I have had my evo2 and the viberent installed for about a month, just installed my CAI today and noticed when shifting gears the rev hangs then drops? i have never feet this before the CAI, and also on any of my other hondas?

Does it clearup once the ecu learns the new setup?

The hang is not as bad as the 2006 issue, but it's noticable!

thx

battery was unpluged to install the CAI, so it should have reset correct?

well the hang is kinda cool in the way that when doing fast shifts the engine's revs stay till i switch to another gear. if i wait like more then 1 1/2 sec then it drops.

Y did this rev hang only get noticable after installing the CAI?

what kinda whp you guess i'm pushing? I need to get it dyno'ed

Ive raced cars quite a bit and there is no situation that you will come across that rev hang is going to mess you up. It maybe annoying , but Honda made it like that for a reason. Just think about it when you shift and your blipping the throttle to rev match or if you down shift , what do you do...you blip the throttle to keep revs up.

Well, one problem with rev hang is that engine braking is non-existent for about a second and a half after letting off the throttle. That could mess someone up.

And how exactly does rev hang help up-shifts? All it does is wear out the clutch (because it has to do the work of slowing the engine to match the gearing) and make it look the the driver is too stupid to take her/his foot off the gas when shifting.

I hate rev hang and I am surprised Honda hasn't fixed it yet.

Since there is no power being applied , it doesnt do a thing. The throttle is closed. It doesnt wear out the clutch unless your used to driving a car where you need to hang the gas yourself. Just get real used to barely touching the gas during a shift. Yeah its been around for awhile and honda hasnt done anything , but yet they fixed quite a few things on the 2008 model. If there was something wrong im sure it would be done and come 2009 itll still be there.
