A guy could use angled stock tubing and have them threaded for the 18mm size. What I find difficult to imagine, is to have a threaded nut collar on either end like my angled defouler. The threaded nut collar is essential to proper alignment fo the defouler. Suddenly, this little piece of tubing gets a whole bunch more complicated.

Why is it complicated? All the nut does is lock onto the bunghole so the angled section does not deviate from the wanted agle. I'm sure all it is an 18mm nut.

I thought of that as I read your post haha.

But to get back on topic...if I'm not mistaken you said you used the crush washers that came with the defoulers to allow you to align the defouler the way you wanted. If that's the case the nut wouldn't be needed.

My question is exactly what did you rethread. Was it the defoulers or the elbow? And did you use 3/4" galvanized pipe for that?

I used a 3/8" "street" 90 & drilled out the female end & rethreaded it with a 18mm x1.25 pitch tap(metric spark plug tap) so the drilled out defouler will screw into the "new" thread. 3/4" is too big but I did use a galvanized 90.

Why is everyone simply eliminating the cat? You can easily install a new hi-flow unit further downstream and with virtually no penalty, today's cats flow REALLY well. Plus you're still emissions legal.

Thanks for the info reaper, I've heard about the BLOX defouler - I just don't know where to find it to order...didn't specifically see it on the BLOX website, so no clue where else to get it.

So this would be my total from that supplier:

Subtotal: $12.99 (okay reasonable enough)
Shipping: $12.76 (wow, that much to ship a tiny piece of metal? bull.)
Tax: $0.00
Total: $25.75

It is still a lil pricey (because of the shipping) for just a defouler...but cheaper than $40 - 50 lol...even still, I'm thinking there is probably a cheaper site but I can't seem to find one ;T

^ LOL, seems a little steep for me too on the shipping. Give em a call and see if they can do better.

You, sir, are my hero. I would have made it myself...but the tools to make my own wouldn't have really been cheaper. Thank you!
