No, I've had an SRI for well over a year now, never had a CEL.

And as far as the CAI CEL, they fixed that problem. The only thing people bitch about is the 'Hesitation' they get.

Honestly, being that I own the SRI, I wouldn't buy it again. In fact, I'll take it off and sell it eventually when I get some time. It's a waste of money, makes virtually no power. ..and that goes for pretty much every intake. Stay stock.

No it won't however you will have hesitation and not make too much power, but it is your cheapest option.

if its a new aem sri it shouldnt throw a cel. if its an older one it might. the first ones threw a cel and then aem fixed it. and not to many people liked the aem sri. they say it didnt perform well.... but it is your car, so good luck with it...

If you install it correctly then you shouldn't get a CEL.

So the ecu could relearn the amount of air it sucks in. Because if you don't it will think it's stock, which could scarface power.

since you didnt know you had to reset the ecu, i take it you dont know how either, and its pretty simple, but heres how... ok, disconnect the neg. battery terminal while your working (you should always disconnect it while doin motor work) and keep it disconnected for at least 5 minutes, thats why i keep it off while i'm working on the car so it will be enough time when i'm done. before reconnecting, push break pedal all the way down for about 5 seconds to bleed the system. reconnect the neg terminal, start the car and WITHOUT pushing on the gas at all for about 10 or 15 minutes, let the car idle. dont move the car or anything, juss let it idle for 10 or 15 minutes... this will reset the ecu and allow it to relearn idle and how much or less air to flow to the cylinders with your new intake, throttlebody spacer, or anything really... good luck

OK, for those of you who own them, are you happy with your purchase? I'm sure they sound just fine...but in terms of fit and finnish and performance?

I installed mine last sunday and it looks good in the engine bay. Easy to install after I went over the instructions provided by AEM. Also it sounds sick!! It really sounds like a waste gate "dumping" when you shift gears...i already had a guy pull next to me at a stop light and asked if my Mugen was turbo'd...i said no....he said "it sounds real good bro"

I'm happy with my AEM CAI. It has that low end grunt and up high it screams. My friend said that my CAI sounds nicer than my other friends with a RSX-S with a injen CAI
