Headers or Downpipe?

I have no idea whether or not these will make my car louder but i know they add hp..anyone know if i get headers like BCRH and a catted downpipe will my car become louder? And if anyone knows if either one voids warranty or turns on the check engine light thnx sorry i dont know much about these
