rsx cams & tsx cams

looking to swap out my cams, from what i have been reading i should only swap out the intake cams. my questions is, are the tsx cams the same as rsx cams on the 2006+ models and if not how can i tell. is there anyway to tell what year the cams are from once they are out of the heads or do i just have to trust the person i am buying it from. oh by the way i have an 07 si. thanks

well RSX-S only went to 2006. they stop production of that model so nothing newer than 06. TSX cams are NOT the same as the RSX-S cams. If you want TSX cams....which are a nice/mild upgrade (from what ive read)...you want them from the 06+ models. and you are gonna want BOTH camshafts....

no way to really tell....private sales are kinda iffy...IMO. if im gonna buy cams ill buy them new unless its from a well known reputable private seller. you always take a chance with private sales.....

best of luck!

agree with that too. There's a lot of good info on clubrsx and k20a.org about OEM camshafts.

Tsx cams with hondata reflah

Does anyone know if TSX cams will work with the Hondata reflash? If so how many H.P can expect to gain? I'm thinking of getting them!!

Looks like it would be around $650 for both TSX cams. Sound about right? After you did the mod, what is your take on how they perform?

yes around 10-12 hp would be a valid expectation

Yeah I have them, I wouldn't spend money on them if I could do it again, I didn't notice any real change. 10-12hp? I don't think so..maybe 1-2 max.

there is a good write up on k-series.com. I wouldn't do it unless you are pretty knowledgeable, if you mess up putting the timing chain back on you can do some serious damage.
