^not necessarily. my car with the DCRH/stock exhaust and gutted intake had the same HP as the vibrant header adn cat-back combo.

no "before" dyno and uncorrected numbers FTL!

^my 197 uncorrected whp went down to 188 whp when corrected. so when were dealing with mods that only add a few hp, a 11whp lose is alot.

i just dont understand why they cant post corrected #'s, the file is in the computer, all they have to do is change the correction factor. we have asked and they havent done it.

im all for great gains and i loved my vibrant exhaust when i had it(excellent quality and great sound), but when a company who only advertises 2 headers (vibrant and DC) and has 2 threads with ABNORMALY LARGE gains from only their more expensive header...sounds like marketing to me.

BTW, to equal out some of this "bashing", i would like to say i got my DCRH from sctuned, they had great customer service, fast shipping and very good pricing.

wow...didnt know it was that high.....maybe their next runs will be corrected...we shall see

Gotta give them credit though for at least trying....they're trying to inform the average consumer....corrected or uncorrected, they can at least fix it later....there is always the future!

I've got this header (without defouler), and I love it. I do however throw the PO420 CEL about every 40 miles. I just clear it out with the Scangauge though.

whats the PO420 code?
do you have the one with or without the cat?

one of my friends is thinking about the catted one and isnt sure if it needs a defouler.

PO420= catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold.

I do have the high flow cat version with no defouler. That being said, I absolutely love my header, and seem to be about the only person on the 8th throwing a CEL with it.

4 door threw the cell today after a good 1000 miles or so. Technically, the catalytic is there, however thats a race metallic core. So its not a real high flow, its more of a visual cat. That could be the reason.

So in short, run the defoulers and save yourself the headache of having the light later.

Keep in mind that the same car if we dynoed it factory according to your measures would still read "high" So power would gains would still be the same.

I am glad you liked the service.

I thought the HFC was supposed to keep the CEL away. I wanted to get this header to pass emissions, but obviously it wont pass with any type of CEL light on.

even if it threw a cell lets say every 500 miles. you only need about 50 miles on your computer to have enough memory to appease the smog tester. he checks for current codes and if you only have like 5 miles they can't do the test because its not enough time for your car to record any data. i have nearly 1k miles on my car since the header install and no cell btw.

or you can save yourself $150 by installing the $5 defouler and never get one.

Do you still have the DCRH on? Hows the quality of it and how many miles are on it?

I currently have the Hondata Reflash, Fujita Short Ram Intake, and Tanabe Racing Medallion exhaust. I am getting the Vibrant RH w/ HFC later this week. What kind of HP at the wheels will I be looking at once I get it installed?? Also, will I feel a big difference in the butt dyno by adding the header to my existing setup?

Better in what regard? As far as looks and sound, it's better looking and sounds a bit deeper. From a performance aspect, I'm going to have to say no, their is no performance gains to be had.

SCTuned, you seem like a stand-up bunch of guys. Thanks for posting the results of your tribulations. Looks like Vibrant makes a killer product.

Other than your car sounding a little different, your "butt dyno" will tell a difference when hitting vtec up to redline with this header.
