Axelbacks available

Other than the Tanabe axelback for sale, what else is available and where can it be purchased at? I saw a vid on youtube of a guy running the skunk2 muffler w/ stock piping so I was wondering where these and other axelbacks can be had.

Axel-back or catback ?

hi, what is the big difference in power gain between axel-back and catback ? if I go with a turbo or a supercharger does I need a catback ?

Injen makes an axleback too but the Tanabe Concept G is far better looking and sounding. I have installed some Injen exhausts on other cars and I wasn't impressed with the quality or fitment.

I have a number of these axlebacks in stock for $300 shipped to the lower continental US. Gains should be about 4-5 HP.

Damn only the tanabe? No one has any vids of how it sounds except for one on youtube, but it's just a 20 second clip of a few revs and a drive around the cul-de-sac.

If you want a good sounding budget minded exhaust:

Robear Racing. MEGAN RACING AXLE-BACK EXHAUST: CIVIC SI 06-UP (2/4DR)

Great sound, and cost is cheaper than anything out there. I installed one about a week ago, looks sweet, and sound is subtle.

Thanks, I don't want anything too subtle though or else I'd just get the HFP axel-back. I want something deep/somewhat loud, but I'd like to get an axel back before buying an entire exhaust. Wish I could just hear what the tanabe sounds like

I wonder if you could make the tanabe concept G a full cat-back.

Sure you could. I wouldn't be surprised if you could just use the mid-pipes of another cat back and then just use the axel back portion of the tanabe. And you could always have a custom made one.

^^ I love this guy. Thanks man

As for the Mugen/Spoon, I'm only getting the axelback because I wanna save money while I decide if I get a full catback or not. $800 on an axelback isn't doing it for me :P

Negligible. 2 whp at best I'm assuming since a full cat back makes 5 at best.

ive got the tanabe axleback on mine as well, sounds much deeper in life than the vid
volume wise i say it compliments my intake perfectly. most of the time the intake is louder than the exhaust imo which i really like
