NST Pullies or P2R TBS, TBGs & IMG ??

Howdy all...

Im lookin to do the a nice, small performance mod for my Si and Im between 2 choices. Im looking @ the following things:

NST Pulley Set: Roughly $210 shipped
P2R TBS, TBGs & IMG: Roughly $150 shipped

Im lookin to start small, so this first mod is no more than $250. Im not looking for HUGE power, but more just something to 'get my feet wet'... and tide me over until im ready to get my I/E/H in a month or two.

Thoughts? Opinions? Other mods to consider?

Edit: If I end up w/ the P2R items... i might go and buy some intake parts and start working on a DIY X-Intake. Not sure yet

i know for sure the P2R stuff will give you 4.5HP. with the img, i'm not sure, but will definatly help out, i'm lookin to add the same thing very soon. the pully system, i am almost positive it adds about the same amount power, i think it was 4 hp or so, there is a thread about it with a dyno, so search for that. but i think its about the same for both, so either way in my opinion, but the P2R stuff is cheaper for the same power gains...

im thinking the P2R stuff, minus the IMG is probably easier for a 'beginner' to install by themselves, as well. Ive read some horror stories about trying to get the crank pulley off.

seen all the dyno sheets and they are similar statistics

juss adding the tbs and gaskets is great, but u may want to consider doing the img along with it too cause your already there with the tbs and gaskets... there is a diy for the manifold gasket in the diy threads and it isnt that difficult actually. but if you really dont feel comfortable doing it, then dont, i'm not forcing you, juss a thought...

I remember reading through one of the DIYs.... seemed pretty hard. But I'll probably get some help for that one.

Right now is the best time to order NST Pulleys IMHO. The GB offer will be open for a few more days and offers a $40 discount off our MSRP.

NST Pulleys also offer better hp, better throttle response across the entire rpm band, and better fuel economy. I don't see anything wrong with any of those benefits :)

Mike @ NST - your website says you're sold out of both the R18 and SI pulley kits.

If in stock, how do you get the $40 off GB offer? - I've been thinking of the pulley kit for a while - $40 off seems like a good deal IMHO.

I would get the P2R Power Package. I have both, and I definitely felt more gains and throttle response with the spacer than the pulleys. Also the pulleys are a B!tch to install if u dont have the right tools
