Arrow NEED HELP valve cover gasket

I tried to use search but couldn't find info. Anyhow im thinking for replacing the valve cover of my Si with the type r valve cover, but i dunno where i can buy valve cover gasket and the sealant. i tried google and cant find a store where i can purchase. valve cover gasket and sealant.

yup, what he said... the stock gasket will fit, and you dont need sealant.

are you sure that i dont need sealant? because on the installation it says replace your old valve cover gasket with a new one and use sealant btw im referring the one in procivic.com

You do need to place hondabond in a couple of spots in order to maintain the gasket in place.

Hondabond is what is used at the dealer. you only need to apply some small dabs at the corners where the cover arches.

i recommend FIPG gasket sealer you can pick it up at a toyota dealer and only use sealant on the corners dont put it all the way around

thnx for the info everyone i went to my dealership today after work and got my gasket i just need some sealant. but the dude at the parts dept. said you dont need a sealant but i kinda believe him so i didnt get the sealant but now its not gonna hurt me if i put a sealant so why now tomorrow im going to get a sealant lol. im deciding now if i should purchase the type r valve cover or wait till later on
